Job Description

A pay-per-click (PPC) expert is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing PPC campaigns for clients or their own business. PPC experts use platforms such as Google Ads to bid on keywords and create targeted ads that appear in search engine results or on other websites.

Some specific responsibilities of a PPC expert may include:

  • Conducting keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for optimization
  • Setting up and managing PPC campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads
  • Developing targeted ad groups and creating ad copy that effectively communicates the value of the product or service
  • Monitoring and analysing the performance of PPC campaigns and making ongoing optimizations to improve results
  • Collaborating with other teams, such as content and web development, to ensure PPC best practices are followed
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest PPC trends and best practices

To be successful in this role, a PPC expert should have a strong understanding of PPC principles and tactics, as well as experience using platforms such as Google Ads. Good analytical and problem-solving skills are also important, as is the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimization is also beneficial for this role.
